Though EPS , without one time gain of 8c, was slightly more than 11c, which is pretty good considering revenue was flat, amidst the challenging business environment globally.
Looks like we need an analyst bump for it to move any higher.

I think the market was expecting more dividend as they mentioned likely to distribute the money from the sale of print business. And the USD has gone up so much which there was a good interim dividend paid due to strong USD previously. Most were disappointed this round but I guess we are still hoping for the payout, otherwise the share price would have plunged.

@lkw175 : I am still holding despite likely price will probably dip more post XD. PNE business still pretty resilient in light of poor global economy. It should benefit from strengthening USD as well, which doesnt look like stopping anytime soon. With net cash >60% Mcap even at current prices, div yield of 6%+ with 5c payout (assuming they continue base payout of 2c interim and 3c final, likely sustainable in near future), base earnings around 10c and growing NAV of 96c now. The other thing is there is high chance management make another big move next year. They are all getting on in age and past events shows they are "keen" to sell out or privatise the company.
Personally , I am really struggling to find a good replacement investment for this counter. And since market/STI is still sub 3000 for past year, my total cash allocation does not need to be added to. The other thing is it is really a P.I.T.A to collect this counter, even on days when STI is doing badly.
@Jack_EL : As above. many wanting to get dividend and also I think some still quietly collecting (notice lately always some lots in the buy queue,>20lots which is highly unusual for mini volume PNE)

Agree with BlueKelah's assessment. Also want to add that it is hard to find a generous towkay like PNE's who is willing to share profits with minority shareholders. The price has to be much higher for me to give up my shares.

Any VBs have any insights on the major customers of PNE? Are they still Philips-DAP and Aiwa?

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I agree that the coy has excellent net cash condition and its management is quite generous in declaring good dividend payout (although slight reduction if excluding the special div that was announce in HY16). As the coy's revenue (almost 40% at least) comes from Europe and the situations in Europe looks abit less encouraging.
I definitely agree with you that there are chances that the management might consider sell out or privatise options. Till-then, I choose to stay sideline for the time being but still keep a watchout on this coy.
I wish all vested buddies in PNE best of luck.

PNE for some reason has crept up to 95c now with a medium sized buyer queuing 30 to 40 lots in buy queue at a time.
Quite near to NAV now, perhaps time to consider selling out and keeping some free shares.

Seems like no one is noticing the stable and improving results and chasing UMS etc... instead. Lets not forget every semicon chip has to be mounted on a PCB board which PNE makes Should be a good couple years ahead with recovery in semicon sector expected. 3Q results coming out soon, expecting more bumper dividends next year.
