My best wish to your venture.
I am on FA only, but I don't dismiss the hybrid (FA+TA), as long as each is used wisely with their merits.
A comprehensive game plan is necessary, but fully prepared venture, is a luxury and costly in opportunity cost. Get a game plan readied, and go for it. Tune it along the way, and be honest to yourself.

yes i had left already. now i am looking to use trading w cfd to get abt 30k/yr. From what you're able to achieve previously, $30K per year sound like a rather low target to set. I am nowhere near your level of expertise when it come to investing but i'm close to achieving your target, & I hardly trade.
I would also think that a combination of part time/freelance work with full time trading would be a more optimal choice. My 2 cents.

I am aim $30k for my trading portfolio only.
For my investment portfolio, i am keeping for capital gain & dividends till the mkt turn.
In sgp, i think the only type of part-time work u can do while doing trading is only uber/grab & insurance/property agent. What amt of pay can one expect from such part-time job?

Let say you drive few hours daily, earn $1K monthly. Assuming you have a car regardless due to personal needs. That's 12K.
Nearly half your annual trading target. Can give you a good baseline support.

I wish you all the best.
U reckon $30K/yr can cover basic needs and expenses?
Unless one has a big capital base, just relying on dividend income can be quite challenging.
So I guess trading the market is necessary.

30k is sufficient for a small family with basis needs.
need to minimise or avoid the top 3 expenses in sgp (kids, car, holiday)

need to minimise or avoid the top 3 expenses in sgp (kids, car, holiday) My take is that $30K annual income is barely enough to support one adult in Singapore, including basic expenses like maintenance, utilities etc. It will not be sufficient to support a small family, without severe cutback in quality of life. Also, It does not leave much buffer for unforeseen expenses like medical issues, repairs etc which crop up when you least wanted them to.
Luck play a large part in trading success, so you need to cater for a dry spell when lady luck might not be smiling on you.
Frankly, I'm not as sanguine as you're on your plan, unless you've a substantive emergency fund to fall back on when things are not going well.
It's certainly none of my business, but i do wish you well.
