Is it really a Bull market now? STI index is still below 3000. But it's a little strange to me. Most of the "major' stocks' prices have gone up more than usual compare in the past few weeks or months . Some even reach or exceed their 52 weeks' high. Alamak! i have sold some of my stocks too early leow.
When most people think it's a bear, then it's a bull. And vice versa. i think that's how retail investors are being "manipulated". i am not complaining as i still have profit to be realised. Well, who can time the market? No, not me. (My 2 cents).
NB:
i had seen unbelievable, euphoria high bull market but i had always sold almost everything, too early. It is really hard for me not to sell when there is a moving bull market.

2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.
Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

Well I don't understand why markets keep going up either. Then again, since I invest based on valuations, it shouldn't be too big of an issue. For now, I just wait.....

O. K. So when will you consider to sell your stock? At what value you think or the market think? Or some other "yardstick" or numbers? Surely you should have a chance to consider to sell your stocks for some capital profit?

Just a question i have.
Is starhub still a good stock given it now trades at a PE ratio of 19.7 and forward PE of 18.2 (assuming 8% earnings growth). With a yield of 5.5% and a payout ratio close to 100%. Or is everyone rushing into teleco stocks for safety against bad economic conditions and creating a bubble in these stocks?
