Very interesting.
Can you tell me in terms of exact ratio of Singaporeans to Singapore residents committing crimes?
And what's the purpose or good comes out of this comparison?
i think the result either way is, "It's a ill wind that blows nobody good"
Who is happy to know his compatriots commit more crimes then others?
Ha! Ha!
What a comparison?
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

We know the context of his speech. The statement is to illustrate a point that the percentage of 400 over 1 mil is small, rather than the statement above.

My intention was to correct a wrong choice of word by cfa.

I cannot tell you the exact ratio of Singaporeans to Singapore residents committing crimes because I do not know.
My question to PM and all Singaporeans: Is riot not serious compare to common crimes committed by Singaporeans or people all over the world?

There is no point trying to protect your policy when something serious has happened and remedial action must be taken.
More ''quotas'' for foreigners to commit crimes ?
“risk comes from not knowing what you’re doing.”

what if the riot is along Killiney Road (near Oxley)???

using relative numbers tends to downplay intangible human impact.

Come to think of it this simple incident has actually more ramifications than we realise. IIRC ambulances can only be open on the outside. Not sure if there is an emergency release inside. Any forumer with medical or St John experience please clarify.

Things could have turned for the worse.

It is a fact that S'poreans did not commit such riot , compare to foreigners it is a clean 0% in the past 40 years.

Are the G. banning the selling of Alcohol in "Little India" this weekend?
Or are the G. banning the drinking of Alcohol in Little India this weekend?
Or both?
If the former only, how is it going to be effective if some people "BYOL"?
HA! HA!

Anyway it's just like a doctor treating the symptom but not the cause. It may works but temporary only. i think we are disillusioning ourselves. No???
