Hi Egghead

Your persistence is admirable.

Unfortunately, there are some folks who are always anti-PAP, regardless of the situation.....even when it has nothing to do with political affiliation.....

Why do we have to be anti-govt or pro-govt? Isn't objectivity important skill for a value investor?

Your prayer is answered: Army 20 years ago and friend as current nurse. But she's no medic going out in ambulances, so I have my doubts, as well as my memory, though the video already provides good clues. I do hope you have a better inside understanding to ask in a condescending way.

Point is I am thankful that it didn't turn out much worse which kbl has picked up

I believe that there are other forums that are more suited to your taste. I love this forum as it is now. No, I am not talking about the question that you ask for clarification but the cynicism that you are experiencing. Read clearly.

Cityfarmer has took a stand on what can be posted and what cannot be posted and I support what he wrote though I can't find it as there are too many pages in this thread. Any wrong or misinformation can lead to lawsuit and valuebuddies been a small forum would not be able to take such hits. No, I am not saying that you have wrote anything that would lead to such cases.

I would certainly want this forum to remain as serious as it is. Smile

Cityfarmer,

I know you are doing all this moderation free of charge. It's better to set a guideline on what can be posted and what cannot be posted and to enforce as it is since you are the only moderator in this forum and would not be able to handle if it goes out of hand.

Cheers.

Do you want to be the moderator? Then you can do whatever you want and set standards to your definition of "objectivity" and "be serious". Smile

Moderating a forum itself is not easy especially one that is called General Chat. I'll leave that to the moderator of this forum to answer your queries on "objectivity" and "serious". Do I want to be a moderator? No.

If the approved moderator in this forum has set a guideline to allow everything to be said without consideration as what some people like, I'll at most just leave this forum and join one which I think suited my taste. There are countless of them on the internet. Plain and easy. Occasionally, I can still pop in and leave.
I think thoughts for a better society have been expressed by forummers. And everyone is vested.
I also know that investing is intertwined with politics and society, but I'd like to remind forummers that the former is the theme of the forum.
The discussion is diverting from the thread. It will only lead to chicken or the egg, and worst to personal attacks.
So let's get back to the basics : value investing and I'll close this thread. Thanks for the thoughts.
