MM - a 10 baggers

Good morning, valuebuddies.
Waking up to another cooling day, I couldn't help myself from overwhelmed by my appreciation to Don.

MM to many people may not be a 10 baggers but definitely a mult-baggers.

Yesterday, Don wrote about MM which is his first 10 baggers and I wish him more luck in picking multi baggers and hopefully a 100 baggers too.
Big Grin

Although MM is not a 10 baggers to me, but at $4 it's almost a 8 baggers and I only have Don - to thank for.

My MM investment journey actually bud in a girly magazine which I was reading while waiting at my dentist.

It's a few pages introduction to MM which is a consumable business in Semicon Precision Engineering field.

What catches my attention was a mention of MM's equipment, after used for 10 years aka completely writeoff/depreciated, still functioning as new.

Being served customers in Semicon high tech industry, told me that there is something strange about MM.

A quick digging in vb.com shows that a few heavy weight valuebuddies is vested in MM.  That to me means something as I'm relying on a successful "Follow-the-guru" formula.

Outside of vb.com, nobody was talking about MM (at that time, now is very different) - except Don.

Don is a pioneer in term of investing in MM.
Don wrote extensively on the investment merit of MM.
Of course, when I brought MM back in 2012, MM is already trading about it's book value aka MOS is not there but I agreed with Don's view point and decided to load up on MM.

There is no seller.

Everyday, I queue around 43cents and most of the day ended with nothing.

There is absolutely no transaction.

One day, I got very frustrated and I brought 1 lot at 48cents and the rest is history.
Some how (I still couldn't figure out), it triggered a Tsunami of sell orders in the next few days.

I just buy and max up my daily limit.

There is only one word to describe how I feel.... shiok!

Of course, yesterday, Don reported that he had sold off most of his MM (purchase using CPFIS).

His actual gain from MM could fund more than half of his FRS.

Congratulation and I do hope that he would be able to buy back MM at a later stage when he deemed is back to a worth holding business.

With such a happy mood, it's party time.
Do take out some of your profits and share with those people that you love.
Enjoy:

I says that my investment journey is like the lost kids in the song.
I'm very grateful that all the valuebuddies who had been helping me in the growing journey.

As I said, you may not realised it, but I had been a net beneficiary of your kindness,
of your kind sharing.

Gratitude and thank you Don for such a fantastic catch.

Stay home and stay healthy, valuebuddies.

Good morning, everyone.
Feeling so good,
waking up to another cooling day and wish everyone a Happy CNY.

As the posts from various valuebuddies in vb.com increased, I couldn't help feeling good inside my heart too.

I believed the return of valuebuddies is important and hence really appreciate everyone times and efforts contributing to vb.com.

Gratitude.

I always says that I benefited from the kind sharing of valuebuddies, even you don't know.

One example is ghchua.

I'm glad to see GH posted in vb.com as I am a vivid reader of his blog.

If you had not been reading his investment journey, not to late to start.

There are a lot of good stuffs that we could learn from GH's wisdom and experiences.

I am fascinated that he had been practising the rule-of-large-number and from his latest portfolio, we could see that his consistent hard work is incredibly rewarding.

Although my investment style is super-concentrated which is a stark different from GH, I realised that all road leads to Rome.  I could see that so long as one has a valid investment strategy and stick with it, then the results would be in line with one expectations.  There is no one single holy grail but many holy grail(s) existed.

Important is to have a business-like mindset and treat your investment seriously (see GH's blog if you had not).
Wish everyone could learn along the way and hopefully profitable at the end of the day too.

One of the FAQ on why GH could afford to buy so many counters, which I hope is no secret is:  Odd lot market.

I tried to do the odd lot but not very successfully. I mean, I have a super concentrated portfolio and when I started to buy a stock, usually there will be no seller at all.  To me, it's already a slow accumulation process and odd lot market make it even more painful for me.

Yes, I tried but it's not for me.

Moving forward, GH had tuned his strategy a bit (make sense to me), and we are looking forward to more kind and self-less sharing from him.

Thank you and forever in debt to you.

Gratitude.

Good morning valuebuddies.
Feeling so great, waking up to a bright sunny day.
Really appreciate all valuebuddies for helping me in my investment journey.

While ST**** reported completion of selling it's Perth (non-core) property, Ho Bee announcing buying of 3 property projects in Victoria and Queensland.

Thou the usage and location of the properties are difference, I couldn't help wondering why ST**** choose to consider it's Perth property as non-core while Ho Bee dip it's toes into Victoria and Queensland.

Given time, we would be able to see the performance of these 2 companies and their business acumen.
(ST***)
(Ho Bee)

Meanwhile, have a nice weekend, everyone.

Good morning valuebuddies.
Waking up today with birds chirping happily in the woods.

What a fantastic feeling.

With Capitaland restructuring exercise, after SembCorp and Keppel, I wonder, whether it's a fashion or it's really backed by a sound business decision/strategy.

A new day had begin and let's open our arm for something new today:
