Profits at GP, PBT and NP all grew faster than Revenue. FCF generated from profits and depreciation, after accounting for subdued capex, has added to cash. In accordance with past pattern, another $0.01/share Interim dividend declared, with payment date fixed for 16Sep15 and XD date for 28Aug15. (Note: Tat Seng has paid out 2 $0.01/share dividends in each of the the last 2 FYs.)

Curious: who are tat seng competitors in asia region? Since nine dragons etc are not competitors but suppliers.

I am tracking lse as well.. In Europe Mondi is one of the largest manfacturers of cogurrated paper packaging, and it has been quite successful in.the business.

I think there are many Japanese companies doing packaging. You can take a look at Rengo.

Tat Seng's share price has shot up by $0.06 - a solid 13%! - so far today to reach a new high at $0.52, backed by an unusually high volume of 772 lots transacted. This follows the release of a set of good FY16 full-year results on 24Feb17 (last Friday), together with the declaration of a higher final dividend of $0.02/share (vs. FY15: $0.01/share) and a special dividend of $0.01/share (unchanged from FY15)....

This morning (9Mar17) Tat Seng hit another all-time high of $0.58. Todate, the stock has advanced 38% (from $0.42) in 2017. It appears that 63.95% majority controlling shareholder Hanwell (also listed on SGX) may want to sell this business to realise a nice investment gain, and CEO Loh See Moon (65 this year) may wish to retire and sell out his 15% stake too. Just my usual wildest guess! Please don't bet on it.

Somewhat similar to Intraco (previously) happening?
Only difference is this Tat Seng packaging actually is quite a fundamentally sound company.
And now it seems to be on a roll, excellent time for disposal to get a higher valuation for the major shareholders.
Maybe worth a 2nd look.

(not vested, but may dip a bit of my toes in)

Would you be concerned with their huge exposure (>80%) revenues from China? In a scenario where RMB continues to depreciation, they might be affected.

Today (16Nov17) Tat Seng closed at a new high of $0.74 - up $0.05 or 7.2%! - backed by a rather high volume of over 500 lots. (Note: Tat Seng has 157.2m issued shares, and controlling shareholders Hanwell Holdings holds 63.95% and MD Loh See Moon holds another 15%.)

Something appears to be cooking!
