Well actually not entirely sure of the selling down motive. If you have a lot of holdings on it n if u r a funds. then u will push it up since market is so healthy, n this is low vol counter easily push up.

But they r holding the price artificially low.

One insider is selling due to poor result.
2: block the price to prepare for share placement at a low price or take over target. to buy cheap.
3)jus shifting funds.

Watever the case is once that block is done think will shoot up alot. since it is hold down for so long.

In anycase im sratching my head.

Although i am vested in this counter. I do not think it will shoot up a lot in the short term. Its latest result is rather terrible. So this will cap any upside in price unless subsequent quarters improved. I also do not think this stock will be a multi-bagger. Its excellent performance during 2007 might be one-off as it was coupled with record high steel prices. I dont think steel price will go back record for the next few years.

Yup agree with the steel price.. analogy. technically speaking 27 is the first price to look at if it ever going to break up. If it don even hit tat price lets don even talk abt any higher prices.

23 then 27 then 32 anything abv lets don bag it for the time being...

Why would Hupsteel needs to do placement since they have $48,353mil in cash.

Net Net Asset Value : (164,658 - 21,174)/ 622 600 = $0.23

How low can the SP go?

too many possible scenario
for example redevelopment of land, u do some share placement to boost more cash n to collaborate with someone with the expertise in developing in industry land. not so much to boost but to tap into the expertise of the other party.

But of course they can do it themselve meaning to say tap into banking loans. But being conservative mgt how much will they be willing to do so.

They used to do some share placement to ks enegry if not wrg shld be its subsidary company of ks energy. Its their client so it create a synergy between supplier n end user.

At times of share placement it may not be so much of boosting the cash but to create more synergy between partners.

Anw, it is all wild guess.

anw most likely scenario is coming quarter result bad, insider/ funds selling down.

one more thing if there is share placement it shld be higher then current price. for example probably at 22 or 23 level. lets say if becasue of current market condition without block selling. then it shld be moving towards 23 or 24 by now. then the share placement will go into higher region to be abt to pass thru.

hi bibi,
thats y the trick to this counter is really to buy and wait.
with its physical assets n cash 48m, i think it is still in a rather comfortable cash position. steel price are beyond its control. all it can do is to get more contracts fir supplies. short term unlikely multibagger but long term, the likelihood is great. i dun see much downside at todays price.
