Don't smell any fear or feel any desperation yet leh, at least not as reported in the paper. NATAS fair record sales, COMEX record sales, Orchard Road H&M got super-long queue.... Tongue

Even for the recent EC, it was reported that 80% of buyers had HDB addresses....wow.

Is like that one. You will not feel the tightening of the noose around the neck until the floor board is released.
Just like what WB had said..
it's only when the tide recedes that you find out who swims naked.

Ahaha, yea that's true. But I find don't find the Singapore Consumer to be a good barometer of the financial markets leh.

The Singapore Economy and Financial Markets are affected by larger forces e.g. in late 2007- when markets started to trend down and through 2008- when the GFC went into high gear, you don't really hear much from the Man in the street. Only in late 2008 and 2009, then you hear people worry about tough times ahead and all.

With all the nice bonuses that came last year and earlier this year (if civil servants are anything to go by), I think many working folk are still in living in good times.
