Bro, dun have to wait until 2014......2012 sure dive 1, (not crash, i have to clarify first) mark my words.

Khaw cooling measure will be totally different from Maboro tan, hehe.

koh_52 san (the property guru in this forum),

how much % do you see property prices coming down?

I have yet to buy a replacement house due to enbloc sale.

Hope it will be good timing for me!

Meanwhile what should I do? Look for rental first?

The outcome of the 2011 general election has been encouraging. None of the black swans I feared happened. PAP lost 1 GRC and did poorly in the other GRCs. From recent events, it seems like change is in the air and our leaders are going to take a fresh look at their policies. This outcome is much more preferable to PAP losing power overnight. This has always been my view right from the start.

I would appreciate it if those who disagree not take a "wake up your idea" harsh tone on those who happen to have a different opinion. We are all equals in the online world.

With Khaw now in charge of housing, I believe housing price will see some correction. I remember that not long after he took over as health minister, he made every clinics and hospital publish their charges.

What makes many unhappy is why must wait till the voters tell them these ?

Cabinet will be sworn in today.

To be fair, I want to see what Khaw Boon Wan plans to do about housing, just as I wish to observe what Lui Tuck Yew is planning for Transportation. Let's see if these Ministers are worth their salt.

If not, then I guess the decision is clear during the next Election..... Tongue

There are 2 coffeeshops near where I live. Competition is fierce, each time a new owner takesover he will re-renovate bring in more better variety and quality and business will pick up while popularity at the other eatery will go down.

The less popular one eventually gives up, a new owner comes in re-renovate brings in better food varierty and the crowd shifts again. Since I've lived here for close to 10 years I've seen these 2 coffeeshops change hands no less than 6 times total, if you ask me 2 coffeeshops to serve less than 15 blocks is far too many but residents here benefit immensely in the end. So I guess you know where I stand on the matter of opposition as I am a firm believer that competition brings BETTER performance Big Grin
