I hoping for 5-15% revenues & earnings growth for 2nd quarter, if no growth then to defend/maintain revenues & earnings would be fine too ^_^

I suppose Microsoft, having written down on their Surface inventories, will set a new retail price and rebate their distributors on the difference? ie. no impairment? For commodity type of products eg. Memory, HDD,.. it'll likely be different. ie. they bear the inventory risk of price fluctuations

lol
that I have no idea, but should have very little material impact for challenger, one should just look at overall trend ba, as long as overall IT electronics sales go up then challenger should do well also for new products usually they don't stock up too much inventory one, their inventory turnover also very low at 30 days.. so low risk of hugging too much unsellable stuffs for their procurement department, their staff's KPI is strongly base on turnover days... meaning they only bring in stuff that sell fast, since its a flop then probably they not bring in much or any more Individual products work or not, doesn't really impact them.. since they are like just the retailer selling to consumers and taking a cut. Apple win or Samsung win, in the end the consumer's $$ also go into challenger's pocket

results beat my expectation Group revenue increased by 22% or $35.1M mainly due to growth in Singapore retail operations. Group net profit up 18% or $1.3M primarily driven by higher gross profit from Singapore retail operations partly offset by increase in operating expenses. Interim dividend increased by 10% to 1.1 cents for 1H2013. HUAT AH $$$$$$$$$$$ "Between January and June this year, we opened five new stores in Singapore, with three more coming up in the second half of the year as well as an expansion at our existing Lot 1 store,” said Mr Loo. " I think 2H13 and FY14 will likely to be good as the new stores take place I would expect around 15% earnings growth to likely continue (happily vested ^^)

This company is priced as if there is no growth and as if earnings fluctuates erratically. Is that really true? Well it is for the keen investor to find out
Felix, i think you are right, the company may stand a chance of earning 5 cents this year. Actually, anything above 4.69 cents will put a smile on my face. Huat ah!!! |
