NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of Hotung Investment Holdings Limited (the “Company”) will be held at The Chevrons, 48 Boon Lay Way, Singapore 609961, on April 29, 2014 (Tuesday) at 10:30 a.m.

Hotung also resumed share buy-back recently to support the share price (maybe to make shareholders happy so that nobody will complaint about the share price during the AGMTongue).

I must take this opportunity to ask some of the questions I wanted to ask during AGM.

Kindly share ur discussions/notes at the Agm if u can Smile thx in adv

No Problem! Is there any particular question that you are interested to know?

I didn't attend the AGM as I was not able to apply leave on that day.

no matter Big Grin after checking the credentials of the management I must say I am impressed.

This might just be the first company I vest that has lady boss, taiwanese woman somemore Big Grin

As it stands today,

No debt and so net cash 45% of market cap. 51cents for a dollar. Good dividend payout. Good diversified stock to own for exposure to "GREATER CHINA"
Virtual currencies are worth virtually nothing.

What good if the cash is designated for investment, ie not free cash for distribution.

The day hotung stop investing is the day we should start investing.

Eventually Hotung will follow K1's path, but now hotung income is recurring and the management determined to distribute >90% of the profit, I think it is still a good counter to have.....Big Grin

I like the board of directors. Quite a few of them have very impressive credentials which is seldom seen in small cap companies.

I also like the biotech and retail companies which will be churning in the profit soon.
Taho Pharma : The Alzheimers drug will be a big one if successful, though i am sceptical. The other biotechs seem to be just producing for generics.
Meilele : The furniture ecommerce platform company will also be a big one.
Qsquare holdings Qsquare in Taipei I have personally visited, recurring rental income from there and increasing property valuation is a confirmed money maker.

In fact, going forward they have quite a few companies that could get IPOed.

Last but not least, despite their resources, they have one of the crappiest websites I have ever seen. This is a common theme in many of the older singaporean companies which have frugal management. http://www.hihl.com.sg/eng/homehihl.htm

No prizes for guessing which one of our favourite investor's website is also very simple and unimpressive ;D

Interesting that they bought back shares when share was at 0.163-0.164 in April and have been silent now, when the share price has fallen to 0.15 SGD per share.
Disclaimer :-

I am not an investment professional.

I encourage you to do your own independent "due diligence" on any idea that I write about, because I could be and probably am wrong.

Nothing written here is an invitation to buy or sell any particular stock.

At most, I am handing out an educated guess as to what the markets may do.

The market will always find a new way to make a fool out of me (and maybe, even you!).

Even the best strategies of the past fail, sometimes spectacularly, when you least expect it.

I am not immune to that, so please understand that any past success of mine will probably be followed by failures

There is not much change in share price. During April, it was CD 1.29 cents. So, 0.163 - 0.0129 is about 0.15 cents.
