In sg context, i dont think companies valuations are disconnected much to their fundamental.
If you are a small time investor looking at sgx small/mid caps . You can find many conservatively run companies in some industries selling at 50cents to a dollar book value. And these companies are cash flow positive despite the downturns in their industry

Quite surprised that the big dip in crypto recently did not cause any negative impact to stock markets but instead stock market is going north. Maybe the dip in crypto was to encash and buy stocks hahaha. If governments ban crypto... will the billions flow into equity?

This time is different.
Be brave, my friend.
2015 and 2016 things are really bad.
Especially 2016, the market is so volatile, so sea-saw that one almost got numb and ignore the bear.
Every drop, quickly follow by a recovery... was 2016.
2017 super bull charges ahead with most people still sleeping comfortably.
2018 super bull continue and I says, let's be brave.
Having says that, you'll need to be holding solid business and be prepared for the stock market to be closed for 10 years.
Which stock will that be?

My guess is the crypto market is not mature enough to create interactive effects yet, compared to "mature asset classes" like equity, bond or commodity which do show levels of cause and effect between each other.
The derivative market for crypto is also still at its infancy (they only started trading recently n i remember reading the first few contracts were only a few mil but i could be outdated). So the "daisy chain effect" to create 2nd order effects doesnt look ripe as well.
I think even the crypto bros are nt affected as well -They are more focused on changing world order, than money right?

I believe the initial (1st) group of crypto bros are die hard libertarian who believe in sound money. The holding should be very concentrated in a small group of individuals. However, in 2016+, crypto has become mainstream and the herd has followed due to FOMO. Several people I know personally (at least 5) has small punts in crypto.
