Interesting to note that Asset Value Investors has boosted their stake from 7.85 % To 8.09 % on 11 Sept 2012. A quick look at the average traffic volume data of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Superhighway shows a large increase in volume since June 2012 (when toll reduction took effect). If this is experienced by HNE, perhaps it will mitigate the revenue decline slightly. The 3Q 2012 results will show how bad an impact it will have on the revenue.

LIM ASIA MULTI-STRATEGY FUND INC crossed the 5.00% mark after the share buy backs boosted its stake.

Now, there are 3 third-party substantial shareholders - LIM ASIA MULTI-STRATEGY FUND INC (5.01%), ASSET VALUE INVESTORS LIMITED (8.09%) and LIM Advisors Limited (6.17%).

LIM Asia and LIM Advisors are related. See SGX Annc dated 14-Mar-12.

Perhaps you meant Credit Suisse? SGX Annc dated 10-Sep-12 @ 10.2095%

The direct stakes are held by LIM Asia Multi-Strategy Fund Inc. and LIM Asia Special Situations Master Fund Limited. LIM Advisors is one level higher, it becomes their Deemed Interest.

The earlier SGX Annc on 14-Mar-12 is by LIM Advisors where the total acquired by their 2 Funds increased from 5.01% to 6.17%.

The latest SGX Annc on 13-Sep-12 is by one of their Fund (LIM Asia Multi-Strategy Fund) which'd only just crossed the 5% mark (due to MIIF Share Buy Back).

Taiwan market: TBC to make 5-year investment of NT$2 billion in digital cable TV operation

http://laosonline.net/20-minutes/busines...ment-of-nt$2-billion-in-digital-cable-tv-operation?tmpl=component&print=1 [Article]

Quote:TBC expects its digitization penetration to increase from 9% currently to 12% at the end of 2011 and to a goal of 50% in 2014, Ee noted.

Granted this is an old article but if they succeed it is certainly great piece of news for MIIF investor as it will boost its valuation and distributions in the medium term. If it can refinance TBC loans, it might be able to off-set the drop in distributions from HNE. MIIF has reduced its share float to 1.151 billion shares.
