This guy brought his family here in 2005 and is now a Singapore PR.
He is a major share holder and executive chairman of the company.
GKE is the only public-listed company he owns.
He owns more than 2 dozen privately held businesses,
some with co-investors and most of which are based in China.
The companies generate annual revenues of about RMB 9 billion.

Most of these people want to transfer part of their wealth out of China
and what a better way through a Singapore listed company legally.

I'm looking into the potential of this company.

On 26th July 2016, I put up this post.

Later I decided to take a position in this Stock and attended the AGM. At the AGM, I had a long talk with the CEO and quite satisfied with the company’s businesses.
The share price and its volume remained flat for a few months.

On 6th Jan 17, Company’s Announcement: “Group is expected to report a net loss for 2Q2017”. I was quite upset BUT the Share Price surged up with high Volume.
(I don’t understand)
On 13th Jan 17, Financial Statement confirmed net loss for 2Q2017. The Share Price surged further up with higher Volume. (I still don’t understand)

Today, it goes further up in the Top Volume Column. I thought good news but this evening’s announcement doesn’t look positive to me.
Although the share price has gone up by more than 50% in 6 months but I’m a long-term investor so I’m not about to sell it.

Dear Value Buddies,
Have I missed anything here? Any possible reasons why it moved up so much despite negative news?

Lol looks like there was a "leak" of the news all along and parties in the know loading up
