Perhaps Mr Market is already "pricing forward" the FY15 EPS...

CP : now ya have a 180degree change of opinion, talkin' about Mr. Market pricing forward the EPS, something which I had already mentioned a few months ago when I started posting in CES thread... now share price dun move and you change your tune, haha what can I say except LOL...

Anyways big money is coming in next financial report so possible rerating then. In the mean time risk such as cooling SG markets and possible peak in AUS markets are probably putting the dampener on this stock. Remember the gearing is still pretty spectacular compared with other prop. counters, some of which have already managed to reduce gearing to zero or very low level.

It is not how much one borrow. It is the ability to service it. Look at starhub, it is even more spectacular.

Yup, good point. But an overhang of spectacular debt is just one more risk factor that warrants consideration especially when interests rates are low and have the potential to swing upwards quickly, even no problem to service, increased interest expense will put a drag on cash flow and earnings..

As not vested, do not know how much of CES's debt is from local lenders vs. foreign lenders though. If debt is under SG banks then not so much risk, historically SG interest rates not much at all. Most newer investors probably have never heard or experienced >10% interest rates before but that has happened in Aus in the past and could happen again.

US is already looking at increasing rates soon next year with their latest glowing GDP growth rate of 3.9% for Q3. Not sure the impact on interest rates in Asia and Europe which are still having fun with their own easing.

The following announcement probably the reason why share price is falling recently!!!

looks like CES is going to crash below 80 cents, if TM EPS has already been priced in? Smile

this is how "irrational" Mr market can be, i.e. pricing in so negatively something which is so far away from TOP and yet discounting the huge EPS ~20 cents for the upcoming Q4?

Is the possible loss of the TM project going to bleed CES to death , and would people become so afraid of CES and start to avoid it like plague?

I just sold the balance of 44 lots @87c earlier. Not because the FA has change, but I hv found a better opportunity elsewhere, and also it has hit my trailing stop 8% to 10%. I will sell irrespective of FA, if better opportunity arise and if it hit trailing stop from recent high. Good luck to all. Value investing do also has a stop loss too to capture your profit. In a poor sentiment, no doubt the volume is low, it still go down all the same, that apply to every good stock( though they are down the least when compare to other). Current trend point to down, to follow it down is not vestment, it is stupidity. We can always buy back later more and cheaper. So what if it go up? Well. i hv better plan for other counter. This is one of the good counter, but not necessary the best in my opinion. I will give it a miss for now.

well, I am glad to see CEL to drop more.
How could you price in the TM project when it is still having some incident with the neighbor and the project going to be finished only 2018 later? Does people put too much expectation on the TM project? Well, bear in mind the TM project approval was back dated to dec2012, it has been 2 years from now. And, the court incident back track to early2013. The delay is not just happening today. For people who bought during these 1.5 years, any different after yesterday announcement? Wink

This incident, would it be a chance? Wink
