This company is really undervalued................but the management always enriched themselves by giving options at very low price. Shareholders should really question the management's aim..............are they there to give themselves money or up the share price and value of the company?

Drizzt, believe me, I am perfectly fine with having objective discussions and I have no issues with anyone raising negatives about a stock which I am vested in as it is always great to get an opinion from a bull and a bear.
I take issue with the fact that right after Felix divested Valuetronics, he starts trying to generate baseless discussions on Valuetronics possibly being linked to S Chips and their cash not being real. I mean, if he did a study on its financials and noted some red flags with the numbers, fine and good if he raised it.
But it is clear that he is trying to stir up negative sentiment on the stock as he did no analysis whatsoever and if possible, try to bring the price down so that he can go in again.
But 1 thing I respect Felix for. At least he had the guts to admit he had "bearish intents".

i think my take is that for a business with such consistent earnings it can go on for longer periods and 30 cents still seems ok. I know i am not being quantitative here but to be fair, their flood and entry into that licensing segment make their historical earnings and cash flow a bit tainted. true enough, this past year results have been good.
but with this checkered past, its not a business that you can just buy and not monitor so much. it might not fit your active management profile.
you can really enhance your edge if you know the inner workings of the business.

Don't think a forum post can move the market unless it comes with a well-argued analysis.

In singapore, probably yes, because its so so small. And valuetronics vol is small, so its easy to manipulate.
In the US, probably not. Well argued articles in seekingalpha also gets trashed. The bulls are as much as the bears.
Bottom line? If there is real value that others cannot see when it is sold down, pick it up.

It is very possible to move the market. It just depends on what is posted. If anyone remembers Datacraft, you know very well it is.
But anyway, I think his post is harmless since he was only trying to generate a discussion on cash being possibly unreal.
Anyway, let's drop this and move on to more constructive posts.
Cheers everyone.

Come ón guys, Lets give sgpunter a break. Also, lets turn this forum into one with meaningful insight and information rather than one just based on opinions (good or bad). If we want opinions, any uncle or auntie on the street can tell us, information/news/facts/insights are more valuable. Opinons are fine, but good to back it up with some facts or information.Otherwise, after a while valuebuddies will turn into a low grade forum that any investor will loathe to visit. Any comments from administrators?

In principle, I, as moderator, agreed with you. we don't value one-liner kind of "opinion", without further elaboration, especially those solely meant to be provocative.
In practice, insight is just another form of opinion. It is vastly different in value, between OPINIONs from senior buddies e.g. Mr. d.o.g, AlphaQuant, Specuvestor etc. (sorry if I miss any names here, the list can't be too long), and newbie's
I don't believe moderator should play the role of "god", and do the "cleaning" at his sole discretion. The forum will do the job, either by reputation reward/penalty, or simply to rebut with posts. You can also do a report to moderator, if you found an inappropriate post. Moderator will handle it.
Having said so, moderators will (and have done so) take his initiative to jump-in from time to time, to moderate, warn or even ban users who are damaging to our forum.
All comments are welcome. I am ready to adjust as warranted.
Thanks
