Hi Portuser,

Balancing this stock together with many others Smile
Just take a look at Guthrie G and its spectacular rise from 40 cents to more than 60 cents after its announcement of regular and special dividends of more than 5 cents...

But don't be too greedy. Always need to diversify
A simple factory fire can dash all your hopes away..hahaha
Smile

But somehow I have this hunch that there will be a mad scrambling into this counter at some stage like Guthrie G...haha Smile
then you see people tripping over each other..and the full display of greed..

this is my personal conviction but of course, I can be very wrong Smile

Page 28 of New Toyo's IPO prospectus (dated 19 Mar 1997) recounted the fire in 1992:
"In June 1992, a fire destroyed New Toyo Aluminium factory and office at Jurong in Singapore. Customers were serviced by the Group's other plants around the region, resulting in minimal delays in its delivery schedules. The fire provided the Group with an opportunity to prove to its customers its service reliability which helped to strengthen its customer' confidence in the Group."
New Toyo 2011 results announcement also disclosed loss of inventory and a machine caused by fire in the fourth quarter at a third party warehouse.

It would seem that New Toyo has been capable of dealing with such adverse events to be a dependable service provider to its customers.

Dear MrEngineer

If you put yourself in the shoes as New Toyo's equity holders, you might also arrive at the conclusion that "We want to pay out as much as possible to ourselves"..

Debt-holders can wait to be repaid from the cashflow from the existing operations..hehe

Thank you!

From just a 5.5 dividend, Gutherie jumped from 40 over cents to nearly 70 cents
[Guthrie is approaching 70 cents soon, which is more than 50% jump!!]

If New Toyo announces 25 cents dividends (regular + special) in totality, not sure what would the impact be? Smile

why would anyone buy SAH at 20c ??????????

think the person who bought 100 lots of SAH will live to regret..

SAH should only worth around 18.6 cents only, if we exclude the recent 1 cent dividend declared.

Good Luck to that guy Smile
