If we hold hatred in our heart, it will germinate over time.
If we nurture love in our heart, we will become compassionate over time.

Wisest are those who are good at discovering the strengths of others.
Strongest are those who are good at controlling themselves.
Richest are those who are aware of their fortune, are content with it, give their wealth to help others, and live a fulfilling and happy life.

🪷 *CELEBRATING GUAN YIN, THE BODHISATTVA OF GREAT COMPASSION* 🪷
💡 *ANSWER FOR THE REVISION QUESTION*
⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
*EMULATE THE GREAT WISDOM AND COMPASSION AS WELL AS THE GREAT VOW AND STRENGTH OF GUAN YIN BODHISATTVA*
Master Jun Hong Lu: The Buddha Way as practised by Guan Yin Bodhisattva, is where great compassion is the focus of the practice; purity and peace are at its heart’s core, and all Buddhas are held in high esteem. A person who emulates Guan Yin Bodhisattva will have great compassion, which brings about purity and tranquillity of the mind. This is because such a person only has concern for sentient beings, and none of his self-interests and hence, his mind is peaceful and it is in this heart that the Buddha resides.
With loving kindness and compassion towards all beings, this person is one and the same as Guan Yin. If you often help others and frequently perform charitable acts, you are Guan Yin Bodhisattva. So, where is the practice place of Guan Yin Bodhisattva?
In reality, wherever there are pious believers of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, or where the great compassion of Guan Yin Bodhisattva thrives, that is the place of practice of Guan Yin Bodhisattva. It can be found everywhere for as long as there is great compassion and great loving-kindness in one's heart, therein lies the place of practice of Guan Yin Bodhisattva.

*A GREAT PERSON IS ONE WHO HAS A BIG HEART*
Master Jun Hong Lu: Buddhist practitioners should understand that regardless of whom you are troubled by, they should be regarded as a person who toughens your self-cultivation and elevates your state of mind. No matter what others say about you or how they insult you, you should learn to endure.
The stronger your endurance, the greater the status of cultivation you are able to attain. Hence, the saying – “the Prime Minister can hold a vessel in his stomach” (宰相肚里能撑船), which means a great person is one who is large-hearted or magnanimous, a characteristic that a normal person lacks.
I hope all of you will be steadfast in your Buddhist practice and mind cultivation. This is my only wish; I have no other wishes. Tracking my footsteps, all of you have achieved the halfway milestone – never allow yourself to trip and fall, neither should you backtrack nor tumble down the mountain, lest you will be ruined.

A contented person enjoys happiness and wealth.
A blessed person should learn to keep a low profile, then they will be able to prolong their good fortune and their lifespan.

Our hands are meant for labour, not to seek material gains.
Our brain is meant for contemplating and repenting, not for clinging to attachments.
Only when we remain sober-minded and ready to forgive others are we able to make constant progress.
The best solution to any problem is to forgive.

*REFRAIN FROM KILLING, LIVE A SMOOTH LIFE*
Tai Sui Bodhisattva for 2020 – General Lu Mi:
“The acts of killing and sexual misconduct are the most damaging to one’s fortune. They are the gravest sin committed by sentient beings in this Age of Dharma Decline.
If any of you can strictly adhere to the Buddhist precepts, pray to Buddhas, perform recitation and become a full vegetarian, an endless string of good tidings and fortunes will come knocking at your door.
You will be blessed in every aspect of your life – be it career, family or livelihood and no evil shall befall you.”
A disciple from Malaysia – 1 November 2020

心里没有安全感, 背后的原因是对菩萨的不相信。
Your sense of insecurity is attributed to your lack of faith in Bodhisattvas.

*PROSTRATION IS THE INGENIOUS WAY TO ELIMINATE KARMIC OBSTACLES*
Master Jun Hong Lu: Putting our palms together signifies our practice of Buddhism while kneeling on our knees is a sign of repentance. When we kneel down with our palms together it means that we are repenting and at the same time committing ourselves to diligence in our practising of Buddhism. This act has the effect of speeding up the elimination of one’s karmic obstacles and sufferings. My advice to you is that if you wish to enjoy good fortune, you should perform more prostrations.

*RESENTMENT COMES FROM MAKING COMPARISONS*
Master Jun Hong Lu: The human heart is full of hatred. But, do you know where does hatred come from? Let me tell you this: Hatred evolves when you make comparisons. The moment you start comparing yourself with others, you will bring forth the resentment in your heart. This explains why it is not advisable to compare yourself with others.
When you stop making comparisons, there is no discrimination, which means your heart will not give rise to the notion of non-equanimity.
Make prayers for an equanimous mind every day and stop comparing yourself with others, then there wouldn’t be any more unhappiness, would there?
