This is indeed very sad and shocking news! Wallstraits was the first serious forum I was introduced to many years ago and I joined in 2005-2006, helping to post analyses on companies along with old birds such as Lark, Dennis Ng (may he also RIP) and d.o.g. Without that forum, I certainly wouldn't be who I am today - the sharp analysis and constructive criticism really sharpened my focus and helped me to refine my philosophy. It provided a beacon to me through the Global Financial Crisis and gave me the discipline to stick to my value strategy and to look for the correct metrics.
After Wall Straits shut down, Afralug was started with the same intention of promoting value investing. For some reason Afralug had to shut down, after which Value Buddies was born.
I have Professor Sage's (Curtis) book "Building The Perfect Portfolio". It was autographed by Curtis himself.....his message to me "May Your Portfolio be Perfect".
RIP, my friend.

3) CASH in hand is KING in BEAR!
4) In BULL, SELL-SELL-SELL!

I had the chance to meet Sage many years ago during the early days of Wallstraits. We drank beer together and talked about stocks, including some of his recommendations on JEL Corp, when it was still doing well.
Nice guy. RIP.

RIP Sage.
Like others in this forum, I have benefitted much from Wallstraits. It came at a time when I was looking at how to grow my $$$ beyond my monthly income. Learned so much from the sharing in the forum. It really makes investment fun!

RIP.
In a way, he brought me into investment when he came to NTU to give a talk a decade ago.
