Where did you get this info from?

Furthermore, one has to be a shareholder I think.

Just checked my bank account and noted that Boustead’s interim dividend of 2 cents/share has just been credited into my account. I guess I can consider this a fitting Christmas gift for the upcoming festive season! Big Grin

Well done to the IR team at Boustead. From the presentation materials at the retail investor day, I certainly have a better understanding on the core divisions within Boustead even though I am not present today.

You are absolutely right that the presentation is excellent. Attending the event is more worthwhile than reading all the analyst reports out there.

1st half of the session, Mr Keith Chu gave a very informative presentation on every segment of the company for nearly 2 hrs while Mr FF Wong spent another 1 hr + to answer all questions and answers.

For OMH, mr wong says that they are not looking into further investment at the moment. The key risk will be execution risk of which Boustead will not be participating in the project due to certain terms and condition which mr wong did not agree to.

As for PRCT investment in Tong Zhou, they will be recycling the sales profit from their current property in Tong Zhou which has gross floor of 38792 sqm according to the AR. Mr Wong says that this is the first time that he has invested his money together with Boustead in a project.

Apart from what you have shared, is there anything that was mentioned? Boustead share price is doing well today - levels not seen for a long time and this is even after shareholders has received the dividends yesterday...

Boustead was awarded today a contract to build a commercial property for Oxley.

Another feather in the cap, or another stray from its niche business?

Why do you see it as straying from their niche business?

I am not necessarily saying Boustead is straying from its niche, as one may argue it depends on how its defined.

But from Boustead's website:-

"Boustead Projects (BP) is a leading industrial real estate solutions provider in Singapore, with core engineering expertise in the design-and-build, and development of industrial facilities for multinational corporations and local enterprises. We aim to deliver industrial facilities integrating design, form and function according to client requirements."

There is no mention of building commercial properties. One might argue that the skill sets are similar, and I would agree. But extensions would likely dilute its brand equity.
