Book order still at record high !!!

Energy segment profits had increased a lot , moderated by the weakening BP segment ...

Based on the report from Boustead Singapore, the net cash should be $0.334 cts.

Cash at Balance sheet(S$'000) = $281,706.00
Total Debts (S$'000) = $118,993.00
Net Cash (S$'000) = $162,713.00
Total Number of Shares ('000) = 487,174.23

Hence, the net cash should be $0.334. Even adding in the investment securities, it will be 43.56 cts.

The above calculation also same as the statement

"The net cash position (i.e. net of
all bank borrowings) was boosted to S$162.7 million, translating to a net cash per share
position of 33.4 cents. In addition, the Group held S$49.5 million in investment securities,
of which about 37% of the amount is highly liquid."

Many tks . Yes net cash including investments should be about 40 cents .

And we are getting the rest of Boustead segments so cheaply at only 30 cents !!!!

BP itself has RNAV close to $2. Once reits is launched , it will catapult and Boustead will be lifted as well.

Oil segment is recovering very strongly contrary to expectations.

Geospatial is a golden cash cow - this segment alone should be easily worth 30 to 40 cents at least

Finally , healthcare segment is still nascent but could surprise to the upside depending on new developments in China .

When share price was below 60 cents , no one cared at all . Now price is above 70 cents . Should be firming up towards 75 cents with a yield of 4%

If not for the pandemic, share price should be heading towards $1 with dividend at 4 cents per annum.

QnA:
Share buybacks conducted within the past year serve dual purposes. We were able to conduct share buybacks to acquire shares at price levels representing deep intrinsic share value, while mitigating short-term volatility, particularly with the quick exits of substantial shareholders during the period, along with buffering against the recent COVID-19 pandemic market selldown. It should be noted that we will only conduct share buybacks if deep intrinsic share value is present.

An unexpected benefit from e-agm is the posting of Q&A!
Although of course most of them are just too general and hence lip-service in their answers.
Boustead (esp Boustead holding) Q&A quality is top notch! Kudos to the team!

Sometimes their action doesn't really reflect what they are doing. The highest share buyback was 6 years ago when it plunged from 1.8+ to 1.2+ and Boustead bought some at 1.2+. Not a lot as compared to when they share buyback at 76 cts below though.

yes, it is a very good time now. Company has been quietly buying back lots of shares...quite aggressive...

simply too cheap to ignore (like Ifast and SCI)

Appreciate it if you could explain why you think so?
The buyback, as shown in the SGX website, is nothing much to shout about.

A very good set of results by Boustead. Half year already earned 4.5cents (which included the full impact of COVID!!!), bearing in mind that Boustead owns 53% of Boustead Project which had reported a slight loss for 1H/2021.

The worst should be over for Boustead Project. BP’s management had guided that the full year profit for BP should be positive!!! Imagine the overall positive impact on Boustead, if BP which usually contributed the bulk of Boustead’s revenue and profit, turns positive for full year 2021.

Full year profit for Boustead may cross 10 cents.
Net cash is close to 50 cents (as of 1H/2021).

just too cheap to be ignored.
Mr Market will soon recognize its "undervaluedness" soon (like iFast, SCI.....)
