Quote:Name of dividend Final dividend
Dividend type Cash or share script *
Dividend amount per share RMB 0.015
Par value of shares US$ 0.05
Tax rate Tax exempt (1-tier)

* The final dividend is subject to shareholders’ approval at the forthcoming annual general
meeting. The Company intends to apply the Foreland Fabrictech Holdings Limited Scrip
Dividend Scheme (the “Scheme”) on the final dividend, whereby shareholders entitled to
receive the dividends may elect to receive either cash or an allotment of ordinary shares in
the Company credited as fully paid in lieu of cash. Upon the shareholder’s approval, the
Scheme shall be applicable to this final dividend. Details of the Scheme will be announced in
due course. The payment of the scrip dividend will be subject to the receipt of in-principle
approval from the SGX-ST for the listing and quotation of the new shares which may be
issued in connection with the final dividend.

How would the script dividend work? Supposed I opt for script/shares instead of cash. Is it based on the par value of USD$0.05 (S$0.06)? So there's a discount of the market value based on today's rate (S$0.109)?

The price of the script will be announced before the payment date.

It appears to me that many short-term speculators - those who bought in volume before the result announcement betting on further rise in the share price after the announcement, day-traders, and contra-traders - have had a hurried exit and along the way taken quite a bit of lossess in the last 2 market days. I feel a little sad for them!

No one here will give you a yes or no answer.
Have you read through the entire thread?
If the answer is yes, then I suppose you have understood all the viewpoints of those who had contributed to this thread.
If you have no idea of what they are talking about, then it is probably better to buy investment books to read before you commit your $$$.

The reasons given by various sources are (1) lower dividend than expected (2) still no news about approval to their new plant for commercial production

, today(2Mar12), Executive Chairman/Founder/the largest shareholder Tsoi Kin Chit made his first open-market purchase - 200 lots at $0.10/share - for quite a long while.....

Would Tsoi make more purchases, and perhaps this could ignite a salvo of buying by others?

200 lots of $0.10 per share is a mere $20,000. I think one sh not pay much attention to such small purchase. I remember $500,000 is a peanut for high net worth people.

That 200 lots is just noise to drum up attention to the stock. Unless it is a signficant portion of his net worth, ignore it. Beware.
