Starting 6th April 2015, UK Capital Gain Tax for non resident has been implemented.
It basically affect all the gain starting from 6th April 2015. The rate will be either 18% or 28%
There is also changes on stamp duty tax payable.

The HMRC ( UK Tax Office) allows certain non-residents to claim the personal allowance of GBP10K to offset against "annual rental profit" including UK citizens , EC nationals plus various countries which have taxation agreements. These countries includes Argentina, China and Malaysia but for some strange reason it does not include Singapore.

So whilst UK nationals can claim exemption of first GBP11.1K to capital gains tax , its not known if this exemption is available to Singapore residents.
