Wow, my sympathies go out to those who threw money into these schemes. Interestingly enough, if you google for his name and read the "Me and My Money" interview done some years back, he cautioned people against throwing money into investments that one did not know about.
I wonder how many of these Gold Buyback scheme's investors read that interview. Pretty ironic.
Also, I never judge a book by its cover- who cares if one is a former or current policeman, teacher, religious leader etc. There will always be upright people and terrible people in every profession. I mean, just look at the news over the last 5 years, too many examples of people you'd expect to be morally upright that have been caught for doing not so kosher stuff.
