Very peculiar halt because

Parent and HPL still trading normally today. Means unlikely privatization or joint venture development with HPL My guess is maybe they doing an acquisition using their cash hoard. Interesting times.

Ok i checked, in 2010 wheelock and co(parent) scheme of arrangement to takeover wheelock prop hk(at 143% premium)

It seems the parent was not halted only wheelock prop hk was halted for 9 days before the news was announced.

So privatization is a real possibility..

Gxgx all, offer price $2.10

This is not a final offer price though. So if they cant hit 90%, they might raise the price like HPL previously.

Offer price of $2.10 is way below NAV of $2.67 at a discount of 21.3%. Will be even be lower if we use RNAV.

It is only slighter higher than recent high of $2.07 from October 2017, and clearly the company is trying its luck to take it private at this point with record cash on its balance sheet.

Will they succeed? Haha
(Not a recommendation to buy or sell, just stating facts)

They should, $2.10 is a very insincere and Low offer.
Been vested in the counter since 2007, that this is the best that they can offer?
Even though it is unconditional, I am not motivated to sell back to the parent. I remembered when SC Global was trying to delist, they also pattern pattern Badminton and pushed the offer price up. Let's see if karma bites back.  Big Grin
Low ball offer, u really must give it to the way they conduct business, such that they have almost 1b in their cash hoard.

I bought Wheelock Properties (Singapore) in the early 2013 at 1.98 per share.
Received 6 times dividend of 0.06 per share. Total dividends received = 0.36 per share.

The offer is 2.1 per share.

Total return for the holding period of 5.5 years is 24.24%, not more than 5% per year.

Lousy result.
