Recently i noticed a rise in coverage of Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals
And this seems to be the the in-flavour play at the moment
e.g. QT VASCULAR
and Talkmed Group Ltd
With all the hype surrounding cancer, health & pallative care... it looks good as a theme.
But wait... because over in the US, companies that are in the Pharmaceuticals are quite 'hot' as well, e.g. AstraZeneca & Pfizer, Idenix Pharma & Merck (big names and big caps btw)
In the NASDAQ, there are a lot of smaller name companies that are also getting FDA and the promises of being successful, yet the Mar - Apr month we saw Biotech counters fell drastically. http://www.marketwatch.com/investing/ind...tory_Chart
Ok, it is just a general observation, not indepth to the SG Healthcare, Biotech & Pharmaceuticals companies...
The crux is this: SG market is really small, even smaller than NASDAQ's offering.
Unless there is a clear deal that the companies' products can take off, it is more likely to be a pump and dump over here in SG listed market counters.
Just an observation.
