I am wondering if inflation hits us like the late 1970s, and in times to come. What will be the best investment to hedge against this scenario?

hi Behappyalways,

Employment data is backward looking while Mr Market is forward looking. But i think generally, it all depends on Animal Spirits

If animal spirits are strong,
good employment data --> bullish.
bad employment data --> bullish (because Fed is going to cut rates to support the economy)

If animal spirits are low,
good employment data --> not bullish (does not support rate cut).
bad employment data --> not bullish (oh no, things are getting worst)

End of the day, it is all about narratives, i suppose.
