What do you think of people who bought in 2010 or 2011? Are they still in the money?
If you bought in 2010 or 2011 and for rental purpose, do you think they are are still doing O. K.?
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

That's provide they have the key. If is new development, the wait will be long as you see capital loss and rental reduction.
If i remember correctly, long term wise 7% return in property is possible but that's only provide we buy at lower price trend.
