I do not quite understand the nature of the new business. What do they mean by "the creation and ownership of media/entertainment themed licences" and "development and marketing of intellectual property for themed attractions and lifestyle parks and any other related business"?

Is it something to do with building new theme park attractions etc.? Or maybe backdrops and props for movies and TV shows.

Good result of Q2? is it? when the PATMI is LESSER by 26%??

From the Q2 News Release, it seems to me that they focused only on GOOD stuffs.
Mentioning about H1 result with 18% increased in PATMI (and NOT the 25% PATMI decreased in Q2).
Without acknowledging the challenges and problems, the Company will NOT improve much (if at all).

Order book jumped to 245M??
Last year order book on 31-Jul-2016 (for comparison) was 276M (that's 11% less).
PATMI margin is currently at pathetic 2%.

Haha doesn't help if the boss was (or maybe still is) top people in SIAS as well.
Oh wait, am I going to be sued due to this?
It certainly feels like orwellian in this world by days.

Had to google to find out what is "orwellian" and i will post a link below for the benefit of all illiterate VBs like me: https://www.thoughtco.com/definition-of-...ian-721425

It is always interesting to decipher whether there is a difference between the actual results and the PR. It is not an accurate indicator but somehow i feel provide clues to how Mgt actually think/work and their temperament in general.

Indeed.
Such gutfeels (qualitative) saved me quite a fair bit of (unwanted) troubles.

Generally i agree that from what's written or said, we know more about the person who said it than the content of the message (that includes my posts as well, haha, which of course should be your gilbert & sullivan's).

On the other (famous) hand, I tried finding the info about the partner of the JV recently announced but in futile. I'd have guessed the partner should be some well known company? Since the theme park and IP business model lies more on track records? (Just saying). Lolx

The newly created 80%-owned U.S. subsidiary Kingsmen Xperience, Inc. will be engaged in the creation and ownership of media/entertainment
themed licences and the development and marketing of intellectual property for themed attractions and lifestyle parks.

2 relevant questions: (1) How big is this new business' growth potential?, and (2) How big is the profit potential?

Six months after the formation of this subsidiary, we are beginning to see some movement.

Will this 'family entertainment center' be as profitable as Cityneon's Avengers STATION?
