Hi All,
I have been with Wallstraits; Afralug and now Valuebuddies for quiet a few years. Just wondering if it would be feasible for us, Value Enthusiasts to have a get-together.
Thoughts are most welcome.

And what would we do at a get-together, may I ask? Just curious, coz I can't think of any real reason to meet-up, unless it's to celebrate the anniversary of the various incarnations of value buddies. Hehe...

For newbies I think this would be good. Can listen to the savvy and experience share experiences. Maybe just to discuss about fundamentals or theories of investing. Or choose a company to analyse where people just offer their views?

I'm think if any forummers want to, they can create a thread and post details of the meet-up there plus some way to contact the coordinator so that the coordinator can make the necessary arrangements. If any forummers own a cafe/bar/pub or some other suitable venue, no harm letting the coordinators know too. But I think the purpose will be for more of a social one than a learning one.
For me, I think I will pass too. Think it's much easier to generate discussion and ideas in this forum. Perhaps in future when I have more time on my hands for recreational activities, I will help organise or participate in such a meet-up.

Meet ups are feasible if you are interested in attending seminars/talks together.
Start from there and go on to the personal basis.
I would rather stay in my yatch with my pretties and study fundamentals with them.
