Don't think there is any difference in tax between local owned or foreign owned. At least I never see a line about that in my property tax statement.

Taxes are differentiate by definition of tax residence, rather base on citizenship. It is a common approach by most countries IIRC.

This together w low income tax makes it very attractive for FTs to work here. Maybe this is one factor that w support property prices.

To add:

~No More Vacancy Refund ~

Properties with vacant periods from 1 Jan 2014 onwards will not be eligible for property tax refund.

Come 2015/2016 lots of units will TOP. Just a thought: Is IRAS anticipating that something not so pleasant will happen to the property scene?
