Being the oldest metropolitan city in Japan,
Kyoto is full of ancient temples and bright Shrines.

Relaxing with enormous energy from Japan.

Gion 古都  日本京都 祗园

Lots of ancient temples, shrines and
lots of antique houses too in Kyoto.

Love it!

Kyoto is full of temples and shrines and also lots of ancient houses.

Other than Gion, Pontocho is another good place to jalan jalan.
京都先斗町 日本昔日五大花街之一,在江户时代是京都著名的烟花之地。现在依然古色古香,有许多著名的料理店,每到晚上总是人声鼎沸。

There are a lot of small lanes in Pontocho.
However, what you could not missed is running parallel to Pontocho is Kama-Gawa River.

Standing on the bridge and overlook Pontocho (on the left) during sunset or night time actually is the most memorable moment for me in Kyoto.
If you're nearby, take some time and let the night fall and socked into the atmosphere.

See the above photo.
I was in Kinkakuji Temple and not remarkable at all.

Then, I saw a photo taken recently and it just blow my mind away.

So attractive.

I take a closer look.
Yes, the sun is shining and hence the bright golden hue.

Wait a minute, there is not one but two Kinkakuji Temple.
The perfect reflection in the water is the reason.

I'm speechless.

Just wondering, would the record low JPY encourage Japan to open up to international tourism sooner?
Doing so will ensure a lot of tourist buying JPY and pushing it up, and help the tourism industry at the same time, kill two birds with one stone.

Tempted to buy some JPY for future trips...
