Excellent result from Memtech with 779 % increase in net profit. EPS ~ 2 cent. Cash inflow from operating activities is 13.4 Mil more than enough to fund for:
1) $ 7.8 millions Capex invested in a new touch screen manufacturing activities
2) 3.7 Mils for dividends,
3) 2 Mils for bank deposit and share buy back.

Net cash position has increased to $US 39 Mils

"Gross profit margin improved from 15.4% to 29.0% due to higher sales, better product mix and tighter control of production cost. As a result, gross profit increased from US$5.0 million to US$11.7 million"

Company also has sweeten with $ 1.1 cent Dividend

Touch screen business incurred 2.7 Mil loss as the business volume was low at the initial stage but this is the future and Memtech has invested well for the future. even keypad contribute most of the revenue and profit, they have other businesses, plastic and tooling divisions have just turned profitable so we should expect Memetech to be well diversified.

I like that the company appears to take care of shareholders. The touch screen business is crucial as that's where the demand is going. What was not convincing about its development was its FY results report which stated "Our touch screen panel division has incurred loss of US$2.7 million, as a result of teething issues in relation to the start-up of touch screen panel operations.". If its actually due to low initial volumes, that's more re-assuring. Company does seem pretty optimistic to give those dividends. Smile

Great Q1 Result from Memtech - 179% net profit increase

"Gross profit margin improved from 18.1% to 21.5% due to stronger sales and improvements in manufacturing efficiencies. As a result, gross profit increased by
US$1.7 million or 31.1% from US$5.6 million to US$7.3 million."

Cash and cash equivalents amounting to US$37.8 million or approximately 5.3 US cents per share.
