From investment point of view, this is my take:

- Changi airport will be a major hub in SEA. When the new Terminal 5 is completed in mid-2020s, capacity of the airport is predicted to double. Maybe good for SATS if it can win the contract at Terminal 5?
- To develop more housing and offices, will need more household and corporate broadband services. Larger population could use more mobile data. Maybe good for telcos, properties developers and shopping malls?
- Larger aging population. Maybe good for healthcare companies?

How do you get yourself in the email list of CAG?
With so many new development coming and "further details will be announced at the appropriate time", perhaps there is value to be in CAG's email list.

The government usually spread out their investment so as to sustain and spread the economic gain of such activities. As such, I doubt the redevelopment of paya lebar, the new airport, and the tuas port will be close to each other. Also, the earliest to happen should be the new airport, then paya lebar then sea port, T4 is still at blueprint stage, so T5 should be a decade away... Isn't it a bit too early to take position??

Hope they incorporate some greenary and open spaces in their planning. Imagine building houses and infrastructure on every inche of paya lebar airport, people will feel congested and compressed. Economically maybe its beneficial, but making this place livable is important too.

the reason they stated for moving the air-base was not because of noise pollution created to the residential area in new town like punggol / sengkang or hougang, but the reason was so to remove to cap on building height....so u can imagine the intention behind...dun think they would care much about environment or greenery.

Paya Lebar Airbase size is about Tampines/Bedok (incl Bedok Reservoir). It is Huge.
With the airbase relocated, the flight path will be altered and many private estates such as Joo Chiat, Telok Kurau, Tg Katong etc. may see changes in the next masterplan.

Construction companies will have plenty to do in the next 2 decades. Lots of tearing down, building up, and renewed infrastructure.
