UBS, Maybank to manage 7-Eleven Malaysia’s S$250 mln IPO: Sources
KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian tycoon Vincent Tan has appointed several lenders, including UBS and Maybank Investment Bank, to manage an initial public offering of his 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia that could raise up to US$200 million (S$254 million), the Dow Jones news agency cited people with knowledge of the process as saying.
Mr Tan has been looking to sell up to 49 per cent in 7-Eleven Malaysia and was exploring either an IPO or direct stake sale, one of the people said. The tycoon has opted for a public offer to unlock value, the person said.
