Some are betting the Chengs will take this company private , if no news on it, many will just sell out to take profit.
If the Chengs want to take private , why should they issue warrant and declare 2 cts dividend ?

Chairman Cheng buck poh said in one AGM that He wanted to get HL listed, because as a listed company always has the added advantage in job bidding, especially bigger jobs.
So taking private ??

Today's agm :
Management hinted rather clearly that this FY profit will be hit by higher labor costs and less EPC revenues.

Whole page advertisements in ST and Chinese MSMs, on award of BBM to Dy. CEO, Cheng L H. Who actually paid for these advertising ?

The recent AGM on 22/10 ,did the management give hint on possible privatising this company ? Any important issues were raised , e.g. Possible new EPC projects, etc etc . ? Thanks.

dont understand what is this
rights issue at $0.33 !? who would buy the rights issue? prices are at 0.29. The option to buy at $0.33 is worthless if I can buy at 0.29

Will this affect dilution?

Read carefully. This is a rights issue for warrants at an issue price of $0.001 for each warrant. If you subscribe for this rights, you will get the warrants which can be converted to the mother share at a conversion price of $0.33 before the warrant expiry date.

What is the intention behind the right issue? Hai Leck has so much money in the banks and no debts.

Most of the shareholders would want to sell the rights or ignore them totally since the dilution impact is almost non-existence. But with the Cheng's family undertaking, those unwanted rights would be ended up in the family hands. Then why would the Chengs increase the stake in the Company? Can we assume some good news soon? Like a fabulous set of earnings, special dividend, sort of that?

So why they want the rights but not the shares? I think the public float already small, so buying more shares from the public would trigger delisting. Moreover it costs 0.1c to buy a rights, but 31c to buy the shares. With the rights, they can still be benefited if the share price rise or if the Company declares special dividend.

Am I thinking too much or something fishy going on?
