As a Singaporean, I certanly hope not to see a Singapore company producing boats for pirates. Let's hope this will not be true.

Flex boat is too high end for pirate. If they capture one, they probably will sell it for $$$.
Pirates will just take an old boat(preferable a very light boat) and mount two or three high performance engines.

I suppose the light arm patrol boats' demand is simply because of the heightened piracy concern especially in the west africa regions.
With 27 knots, these boats can outrun most pirates.

This is a very good article, as it has described quite clearly the special features and wide usage of Penguin's Flex crew boats. Indeed, Penguin is a very special and prolific crew boat builder.

I doubt so. ST Marine focuses on military battle ship, rather on petrol boat.

So do they own the technology like BMW or they just integrate some other companies' technology. Their AR mentioned R&D, so do they own patents? Thanks.

I get my source from Bloomberg but I am curious how they get the info. So far it has been pretty accurate. Results will be on CNY Eve.

I reckon Penguin is focus more on the "D" in the R&D.

Penguin has consistently introduced new boat design, which either completing the product offering, or improved the existing product.
