Goodness. Talk about art imitating lives. But I suppose sometimes frictional characters makes more sense than real-life precisely because they are friction.

Regardless of how we feel about the govt or society in general. Or who is conning who, the catch-22 situation is unless you choose to live off-grid, you do need a working system to live, work and invest our money in.

As much as I am annoyed for all these societal noises coming out time and again, I suppose I prefer that to worrying about whether I have a place to live, what i'm going to eat or whether I'm going to get killed by guns or mugged in the streets at night.

Be thankful for what we have. And be more careful about what we wished for!

cutting off people's freedoms and choice may backfire in later game it's a big gamble.

So it's implied there is an internet brigade monitoring a list of sites. With these new sweeping powers If your site meets their criteria they could put it in a banning list much like how certain porn sites you try to visit are blocked by MDA.

Then if you want to remove your site from their blacklist get a license loh and post a 50k bond. If you do that means they have a hold on you to comply.

If you cannot afford means you are forced to close your site - no more audience.

Or do like what wikileaks did build an onion site. All the intelligence agencies in the world including FBI have not been able to shut it down.

It's pretty technical but with a computer IP address they can trace and roughly triangulate where the site is located basically for onion routing the traffic is repeatedly encrypted and randomly rerouted again and again to throw off anybody trying find the source.

Just to add, it actually very easy to overcome this no need even to do onion routing.

If I had a site that was put in a blacklist all I need to do is change my site url and IP address. If my site is hosted in one of the many thousand hosting sites out there is a very simple matter of just informing the hosting site to change my DNS and IP address then wait 3-7 days for it to take effect.

And since I run a site means I have email addresses of all the people who login to my site. So in the meantime while waiting for DNS propogation I will send a mass mail to all the people informing them of the new site changes and url.
