Just read the latest article on Sino Grandness on Next Insight.

One benefit of the extension is that Sino Grandness would have to pay a lower rate of 15% from 20 Oct 2014 to 25 July if the listing application (A1) is submitted instead of the 25% from 20 Oct 2014 to 30 June 2015.

But if the listing application gets delayed beyond 25 July, won't the compounding 15% interest eventually be more than the 25% interest that Sino Grandness have to pay if they had paid on 30 June 2015 itself ?

In redeeming a principal amount of RMB 1,000 on 30 June 2015, 2011 bondholders will receive RMB 2,144 (see note 1 below).

On the other hand, if RMB 1,000 is rolled over, one month at a time, until A1 form is filed, say in early Oct, then bondholders will receive on 25 Oct 2015 RMB 2,140 (see note 2 below).

On the basis of this numerical comparison, Garden Fresh should be confident of filing A1 form soon. It should know that interest cost piles up as bonds get extended.

It should be noted, however, that Garden Fresh and bondholders might have other considerations in not redeeming on 30 June 2015.

Note 1

RMB 2,144 is made up of the following:

(a) RMB 1,953, being the principal sum plus 25% compound interest from 19 Oct 2011 to 19 Oct 2014,
(b) RMB 167, being 25% compound interest from 20 Oct 2014 to 29 June 2015, and
© RMB 24, being 3.5% simple interest from 20 Oct 2014 to 29 June 2015.

Note 2

RMB 2,140 is made up of the following:

(a) RMB 1,953, being the principal sum plus 25% compound interest from 19 Oct 2011 to 19 Oct 2014, (same as redemption on 30 June 2015),
(b) RMB 154, being 15% compound interest from 20 Oct 2014 to 24 Oct 2015, and
© RMB 35, being 3.5% simple interest from 20 Oct 2014 to 24 Oct 2015.

Hi All

Thai bought another 300 lots yesterday at $0.34/share. Seems like they have a lot of confidence in the company or do they know something coming up soon?

cheers

This company is beyond me. Share price clearly tells a confusing story.

With little yield and being a chinese consumer play, I have my own reservations.

I have been always confused by the ongoing saga of this co.

I really have no knowledge and am merely expressing my concerns as I have always been all along.

Rest be assured I have not much time to discuss on this stock except to be a concern busybody.

Sorry if I have raised any alarm bells.

By now if buddies dunno I am always armed with my conspiracy theories then please be alert that I am always highly skeptical of any corporate moves until I am convinced.

Just to add on as a general GG rule - hard work in investments should be used in uncovering the ones that will yield stable and growing returns.

It is never my belief to work hard to justify for mgt. For productive stable investments, mgt should justify to shareholders via various avenues - the easy and clear ones are healthy cashflows and growing dividend streams. Both these streams will translate into steadily appreciating share prices over time...

SG simply doesn't fit my investment criteria and hence my great concerns over all the hardwork put in by the experts here.

No Vested Interests
