I think it got higher than that before. Deposit rates went above 10% in 1981. A trip down memory lane:

Their reits manager is a rights issue, today market so weak if right issue the reits counter sure jialat jialat, but if they dont do rights now, its hard to get a better price later right

Personally, I am thinking of people read today's news on interest hike on car loans as an indication of the forthcoming increase in interest.

From the way I see how the REITS managers manage to sell off some of their properties at a higher price than their registered book value, I wonder if the actual property values is properly reflected. Maybe that's why the REITs can trade above their NAV. I don't know, just thinking out loud.

From the way I see, most of the managers are able to refinance their loans, only leaving some that need to be refinanced this year. Likely they should be still able to.

Actually the car loan interest rates up quite a lot, if from 1.8% become 2.8%, its almost a 30% raise in IR. our interest rates have been low for too low, we all know low rates cannot last indefinitely, i guess now the scenario is like smelling smoke in the cinema. Will
U slowly walk towards the exit or will u scream and dash out?

Take this chance to test out my portfolio and my management style then. See if it can pass the coming test. For now, I take it as the smoke is a special effect to make the show "4D". Enjoy! Big Grin
