10 years ago, we could have asked ourshelves the same question. Are we ready for the population size we had today?
Tallest HDB building was never 50 storeys high 10 years ago.

20 years ago, can we be self sufficient in terms of water supply? No. We are very much dependent on Johor's fresh water to supplement our own supply.

Therefore, it is good to dream big and make plans for the future. 7m population means we have a denser community and the infrastructure needs to be better with sufficient transport, community and green space.

Pot holes are telling signs and warnings one day a very big gigantic hole is going to appear Big Grin

With 3-4 million we are nearly self sufficient with reclaiming water having our own reservoirs, with the malaysia water agreements. with 7million how can you still say that we will still be self sufficient based on current water capacity available from all these systems?

Don't just think water is only for drinking, bring more people in is not for fun, FT that want to come here also wants to see what kind of jobs you have here in the first place. So for that you need to attract more companies to operate here to make money to provide these jobs for the people you want to bring in to feed and these high tech industries are going to need a LOT OF WATER!!!

Our water needs could quadruple by then do you think we will still remain self sufficient as now?

It's good to dream big if we are not restricted by land to build endless water reservoirs. Since you so optimistic please tell us where is that land we going to find to build us all these things?? Big Grin
