Wow, impressive track record. It is definitely one of the few Spore successful Co. Now facing tough challenges from labour cost and exchange rate (margin errosion). They must raise their bid price for international project or it will be difficult for them to deliver the bottomline. Nothing much change but the cost of doing business must be ascertain and margin must be marked to international pricing level - getting jobs no use if bottomline still stay the same!!

Those good days when this stock was able to trade at such price were gone.

The company was making leaps and bounds from order wins and profits were increasing every year during that time until 2007. The stock price rallied, and the founder sold out at around that price (ie 80+cents, I think) and later resigned. A new CEO came in, which they brought in from outside. Since then, many old time employees who had followed the original founder left (not a good thing for a specialised engineering company) , and the company was never the same again.

Recently, another co-founder seemed to have started selling his shares.

This company is a has been. Held it some time back once as Interoller (remember the dividends) then for a short period just after it became Pteris Global. It never really recovered from the great recession when the airline and airport industry was hit hard. Was recently looking at it- appears that they have managed to pare their losses significantly and may finally go into the black soon. The buying of Aeromobiles looks like a good move as there is some synergism in it. However, I do believe that this industry is highly competitive. There are many big names in the baggage handling business and aircraft ground support equipment manufacturing. Moreover, due to the nature of the business, their resources are highly scattered thoughout the world. It may appear to have an international footprint but there is no economies of scale. After all how many airports can one country build. China again seems to hold some promise but this is more an illusion, as the China economy slows down.
Terminal 4 beckons but there is no gurantee that they will win the contract. More likely is that they will have to share the spoils with some other companies.
Will probably wait until it records a profit in the next few quarters but again it is going to be lumpy. The heartening thing is that the directors are buying up the coy's shares.

Today Plastoform make a big come back from the dead. Almost 2yrs after it did the funding and recent AngKongHwa step onboard.

I see that winmark is also in TT Intl, Plastoform and in a big way Pteris?

Are they right about the things they invest in or its just coincidence?

Who is Winmark?

I have not seen any contract deal announcement for Aeromobiles since Pteris acquire it. Aeromobiles is not a cheap company as its manufacturing is done in Spore and looking at the nos head count of 50 person probably filled with engineers. How can Pteris increase its EPS, if Aeromobiles is going to drag it down?

I not so concern with BHS ops as it has shifted its cost to oversea. I think the Co. thrive in the past because of Prof Lim contribution in guiding and steering the group. I remembered in the past since listing its results were not consistent with growth. It was 1 of the few Sesdaq Co. that managed to show real business model that is able to match international standard. if you had bought the shares it took more than 4yrs to hit jackpot when they finally managed to improve its operation with increasing order. Its trouble started when the older batch of management cash out and move on and operation cost started moving higher due to S$ strength.

The new CEO needs to put more heft in reducing operation cost as the job is definitely coming in.

The Co. possess high degree of experience execution skill and will be of interest to others wanting to take it private or acquire it.

I hope it can turn the operation and hit home run again after 1/2 a decade of trying to turn the operation around. technically the stock has been correcting since 2007 and we are at a inflection point of more than 4yrs bottoming and some sign of fundamental pushing up the long term mean.
