There are people speculating a mad rush to sell off HDBs in the next 3yrs due to this upgrading rule. Wonder if it happens, what will be the overall effect to the property market...

Most pro agent their companies have the paid software and this 1 is the most updated info...

If lor g to h aro $2600 - $2800 pm, other lor not near mrt price range from $230 - $2600 on your above-mentioned unit.

There is a limitation to splitting up unless both husband and wife are high income earners and can service their debt at 40%

A lot less upgraders?

Or maybe more resale choices for the younger generation?

Probably more cases of illegal subletting of hdb by buyer while seller waits for condo to be ready...

May actually make sense if current loan already paid up a significant amount over the years.

Yes it's not a good idea.

Usually a mortgage for investment property is serviced by a dual-income couple, so that if one loses their job there is some buffer.

In the case of each spouse servicing their own separate mortgage loans, it would be disaster if one of them loses their job.
