Believe after the BE result of PE, property prices will be seriously watched.

Yes political risk will increase...

Likely WP can win 10 to 20 seats now... credible size.

i think i have to start worrying more about my CPF. Not that i don't worry about it before. What's going to happen if there is really a change of GOV in future? Will there be skeletons poping out of the closets? And i always like to support the "underdogs" by nature. As i am really one of them. So don't misinterpret and accuse me of the 4Ks as SinK aporeans are famous for. i think that's is one of the reasons why SinK apore politics remain "Status Quo" NO?
WB:-

1) Rule # 1, do not lose money.
2) Rule # 2, refer to # 1.
3) Not until you can manage your emotions, you can manage your money.

Truism of Investments.
A) Buying a security is buying RISK not Return
B) You can control RISK (to a certain level, hopefully only.) But definitely not the outcome of the Return.

NB:-
My signature is meant for psychoing myself. No offence to anyone. i am trying not to lose money unnecessary anymore.

Need not worry, Singapore is becoming a international cosmopolitian city. In the future, maybe eventually PRC or Ang Mo can run for election.

We just need to make sure our investment portfolio outperform our CPF.

A politically matured economy is good for our investments and properties.
One of the important aspect when foreign investors invest in our nation is due to its stable government.
However, Singapore political maturity has never scored high in their score card.

When Singapore can achieve a state whereby whoever is in charge, whether its the blue, white or other fanciful colours, and yet has its economy thriving without knee jerk reaction, that is when we have truly a first world economy with a first world parliament.

Not only the incumbent party can attract talents, the oppostions must be able to attract talents to compete on equal footing so that our poltical system can be thriving for the good of people. Yes, there will be slowness in policies implementation, there will be political bickering but these are inevitable side effects for a matured developed nation.

This is also the reason why I kept harping in last GE that we need to evolve our political scene to a higher level, not for our own selfish reasons of CPF, property prices or investments, but for our descendants, and for our country's future.

Failure to do so will only make this nation foundation even more shaky. When a major crisis comes, Singapore will not be able to stand again.
With past political landscape, I fear for Singapore's future. With yesterday event, perhaps the younger generations will be able to carry Singapore to greater heights.

Having credible oppositions who can keep a check and balance in government policies as well as providing an alternative voice is a necessary path for a even more secure future for Singapore and ultimately, our investments, our properties and most importantly for our children.

Dont need to worry about cpf la... we will definitely get back our money, if the government doesnt have enough, they will print it to pay you back... we should really worry whether our cpf money (including the interest accumulated) can keep up with inflation.

Had dinner with some friends who are in property and banking industries. Their view are , property price will head south especially after the result of PE BE. Not many foreigners are interested to buy and even locals who can access overseas market will do so.
