The End Of The Smartphone Era Is Coming

You can argue that as technology progressed and advanced, sooner or later, things that are dominant and common place now would eventually be replaced or displaced. There are plenty of examples in history of an end of a 'fill-in-the-blank' era. Off-hand I can think of walkman, portable cd player, vcr etc.

So I dun think its so shocking to think that things that are entrenched in our life now would eventually be replaced by other advanced gadgets.

Whether it will be something like Google glass or Microsoft augment reality glass is debatable. I won't be too surprised if there are probably more than a dozen competing technologies in development now that is fighting to be the next smartphone.
