Well if you consider the track record of revolutions, the path to independence is always paved with blood and very rarely do revolutions work by themselves without some form of military support either domestic or foreign.

Looking at the Syrians if NATO hadn't given air support the rebels wouldn't even stand a chance to come so far.

If so is still so much cheaper. Also Isreal will not be directly involves which is the main point. With this week rial hit on Iran, looks like there is high probability for iran to back down or face revolt.

As I mentioned earlier in aug the the hawks in both the israel and US want a strike on iran. The doves (like obama) don't want but cannot appear weak.

there's reports of hyperinflation in iran now food prices are escalating and people are rioting and obama is claiming brownie points and saying that political pressure is working. From other news media reports indicates that Iran has come out to say it is willing to halt nuclear enrichment but unwilling to close down the facility so it's a matter of negotiation and now turkey just open another front on syria if this escalates into all our war it could be lead to collapse of syrian regime fighting both domestic rebels and turkish forces and bring Iran to the table, if Iran comes to the table talk there will be no case for Israel to go to war if it does they will be acting alone and they don't want to go there.

zerohedge: Hyperinflation has arrived in Iran

As far as revolutions go yes it is a cheaper way but consider that there is no records in recent history of peaceful revolution or protest that has ever toppled any government in world. Peaceful here means without aid of arms or military backing Big Grin
