The dividend is 1 cents final plus 0.6 cents special dividend. At today's closing price of 43.0 cents, the yield is 3.72% (my target is 6%). Share price may go up tomorrow but no regret for me as I prefer to hold a stock for many years to collect dividends.

I sold it to buy Tuan Sing Big Grin Now Tuan Sing looks set to move higher! Big Grin

Cashflow will improve in 2Q2013 and 3Q2013 when the 2 projects are launched and The Laurels' TOP...then I think the mgmt will consider a higher dividend payout.....just be patient...we are already in 1Q2013.....

i wont really mind a company with 3-4% dividends backed with earnings yield of 10-20%. Personally, i would try to avoid one that pays dividend 6% with earnings yields 6%, eg. sph

They didnt listen to me on the bonus warrant / share issue. I guess they want to maintain the capital and shareholding structure of the company for feng shui reasons. Rolleyes

i was looking through its annual report. Its balance sheet seems very healthy.

Its factories are carried on the balance sheet for 551psf , selling for around 850 psf now.

Its piece of land at robin/stephens area carried on balance sheet at around 1300psf, easily worth more than that now, given that it is freehold, mini shopping mall beside it, and just 100m from upcoming stephens mrt.

The plot of land at punggol should be quite profitable since our population is confirmed rising, the white paper has been endorsed.. Also, punggol is developing into a hub of watersports.

best of all, still got quite a bit of profits yet to be booked for The Laurels.

It seems one of the very undervalued developers left on the sgx

(NAV 84 cents ^^)

Sing Holdings reported record net profit of S$41m for FY12,
representing a 87% increase from FY11 (S$22m). The key driver came from the
progressive recognition of its Cairnhill project The Laurels, which is currently 96%
sold by units, with contracted sales value of S$682m. As of end 2012, Sing
Holding has recognised 70% of the sales from Laurels, with the balance $205m to
be recognised in 2013 and T.O.P. expected in 3Q2013. In line with its higher
earnings, Sing Holdings raised its dividend by 60% to 1.6cts/share, comprising of
a regular 1ct and a special 0.6ct. This translates to a yield of 3.7% based on the
last traded price. Looking ahead, Sing Holdings continues to have a good pipeline
and visibility, underpinned by the launch of its Punggol Field Walk EC site in mid-
2013 and its high-end project at Robin Road in 2014. Notwithstanding the recent
round of cooling measures, demand for EC units is expected to remain firm on
upgradersā€™ demand, while the Robin Road site enjoys the proximity to the
upcoming Stevens MRT station and good schools in the vicinity. We expect
healthy take-up for these 2 projects, driving NAV/share growth. NAV/share rose
22% to 50.7cts/share during the year. At current levels, the stock trades at a deep
discount of 49% to our RNAV of 84cts/share. (Goh Han Peng)
