I'm a part time investor. Investing is for $ and fun.
Companies that interest me:
1. Potential high growth (> 10%), eg. Bank of China, Genting
2. Dumped due to one-off incidents (price drop > 50%), eg. Tepco

However, this type of company is not easy to find locally.

From my limited life experience from schools to work to forums, one of the biggest disadvantage of a small group (more so if from non-diverse background and experience) is that of Group-Think. All members see highly optimistic impacts on even a tiny positive news / info and conversely, negative aspects are easily brushed aside (will of course find justifications). Further, any 'outsider' with different veiw-points are unwelcomed and in the most extreme case, gets 'chased' away. I imagine I can see this effect in at least a couple of threads in this forum even...

Yes, it remind me a similar behavior as "the institutional imperative" that i read some time ago.

For crisis hit companies, its usually quite hard to get forumers to feedback, as it requires quite a lot of research to be done.
