if todays 25% rise got something to do with its land dev, i think the upside to come could be much more. the true nav could be as much as 50c.
in other words, the true pb ratio merely rose from 0.4 to 0.5, which is already a 25% rise but yet still low.
but if its just speculators playing, then its a different thing.
nonetheless, the next few weeks could be exciting to watch...

koh boon hwee truly yi dai zhong shi. i am 1/4century younger than him. got so much to learn from him. Err, i dont think so. I check that he became an investor in 2007 holding 4 million shares. In 2007, the share price spans from 0.375 to 0.6+. In 2008, he invested another 1 mil shares. That year the price spans from 0.145 to 0.3+.
Lets give him the benefit of doubt that he bought 4 mil shares at lowest 0.375 in 2007 and 1 mil of shares lowest at 0.145 in 2008. His average price is 0.32+.
You are the yi dai zhong shi. Not him.

So it should also be reasonable for Hup to trade at a discount to its NTA. Probably short term PB of 0.6+. Long term yes, if its business recovers, its PB might reach 1.0+.

Till date, I still could not understand how SGX decides who to query. They seemed to decide by throwing dices. so sgx is actually not transparent enough..to think an reputable exchange like sgx that always boost and strive for near 100% disclosure..yet unable to disclose its rationale for posting such queries.
so in a way, they work like a black box..sounds scary

Koh Boon Hwee of Sunningdale? Seriously? Besides his TLC links, anyone can refresh on what we can learn from his stock picks?

At least SGX is able to nail down management that it is not something they are working on that has impact to the price.
I do place importance to such announcement as such. Is one of those thing that can narrow the gap.

Asia enterprise holdings issued profit warning for the coming quarter. Expect to report a loss. Cites same problems as hup. Low steel price, competitive pricing, write down of inventories, low demand. Expect hup to report loss also.

Till date, I still could not understand how SGX decides who to query. They seemed to decide by throwing dices.
I think they run a software on that will trigger a signal based on volume, price, free float, market cap, etc against that day's market action and its historical trading data...and then some office boy verifies it and issues a query.
